Gearing Up For The Tribal Energy Economies Conference Next Week
On March 25th, I will be heading down to Tempe, Arizona to represent Honor the Earth at the Tribal Energy Economies: Investing In a Sustainable Future conference. We're expecting this event to be an extraordinary convening of elected officials, community leaders and tribal citizens from around the country. With a vast attendance of experts, attorneys, energy specialists and non-profit organizations, I'm planning to distribute our newest piece of literature, Sustainable Tribal Economies: A Guide to Restoring Energy and Food Sovereignty in Native America, to a wide audience of tribal leaders. The conference promises to be a great opportunity for discussion on the green energy economy and its role in Indian Country. With some of the windiest and hottest lands in the Nation, tribes are uniquely equipped with high levels of wind and solar power potential. In fact, Honor the Earth hopes to meet with current project partners at the conference to discuss our planned solar photovoltaic installation at Dine’ College’s Shiprock campus. We hope to see you there! For more information on this event, please see:
