10:30am: Brunch @ One Roof Community Housing
12:30pm: Rally @ St. Louis County Courthouse
1:30pm: Trial @ St. Louis County Courthouse
Please join us Friday morning, April 1st, to support the "Duluth 7" protestors arrested for trespassing in the Enbridge offices in November. Three of the 7 pled not guilty and will be presenting an affirmative defense at the trial. People are forced to trespass in order to get companies like Enbridge to do the right thing - respect the tribes and treaties, assess the ecological and social impacts of their projects, and engage in meaningful dialogues with people in the communities they affect.
Come support the movement to protect the land and water and people of the Great Lakes, and to demand a graceful transition to a clean energy system. Everyone is invited to a FREE brunch at the Hillside Community Center (One Roof Community Housing, 12 E. 4th St.) at 10:30am, with entertainment and some discussion. At 12:00 noon we will march to the St. Louis County Courthouse for a rally and press conference in front of the building at 12:30pm. Then we will enter the courthouse for our trial at 1:30pm.
Folks are welcome to join us for any portion of the day, including the trial itself. Your support is welcome and greatly appreciated. Please join us and invite others. Please bring signs.
Thanks - with questions or to offer to help out, please call Jesse at 218-409-9451.
