Minnesotans: Support Honor the Earth on Give to the Max Day!

Tomorrow, Minnesotans are stepping up and opening our hearts to support the movements and organizations that mean the most to us. Please consider supporting Honor the Earth and our efforts to protect all the sacred land, water, and life on Mother Earth.   We are living in a time of crisis but we are resilient and powerful.  Together we are leading a graceful transition to a just, green, restorative future.

Honor the Earth is busier than ever, and growing fast.   We have core staff living in the encampments at Standing Rock, on the frontlines of the resistance to the Dakota Access pipeline, and playing critical legal, media, logistical, and campaign coordination roles.   We are supporting the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe not only in their interventions against the pipeline, but also in their efforts to build renewable infrastructure on the reservation and create a future for their people.   Meanwhile, our campaign to stop the proposed Line 3 pipeline in Minnesota is picking back up after our victory over the Sandpiper this summer.  And we continue our renewable energy, public art, and food sovereignty projects on the White Earth and Mille Lacs Reservations, as well as our regranting program to grassroots Native groups protecting sacred sites and traditional lifeways across Turtle Island.   We ask you to stand with us.

As you make your giving choices today, please keep in mind that nationally, less than 1% of foundation money goes to Native American groups, and a small fraction of that amount goes to reservation-based work.   We rely on your contributions to keep fighting for social and ecological justice in Native communities.  Please, join us, and give to the MAX!

You can donate today here and your funds will be matched today!  Also, please consider pledging a monthly donation and become a sustaining member today here!

If all our supporters skipped a cup of coffee a month and gave $3 to the movement, we would kick our dependency on foundations overnight.

Also, get ready for the holiday season by purchasing our Pipeline Free Wild Rice or other delicious local food products from White Earth, on our merchandise page.

We are very grateful for your support.   We are honored to do this work, and there is much work to do.  We cannot do it without you.
