Honor the Earth: Grants: Apply For A Grant: Funding Guidelines

 

Native Groups/organizations that are directed and controlled by Native peoples

Native Groups/organizations working in one of Honor the Earth's three program areas:

  1. Environmental Justice - defense and protection of homelands and traditional ways of life;
  2. Building Sustainable Communities - innovative initiatives that foster Indigenous thinking and use of traditional language addressing sustainable community development, providing tools for addressing conflict resolution and learning principles of de-colonization
  3. Nuclear Waste/Safe Clean Energy - addressing fossil fuel, mega-hydro, nuclear power, nuclear waste issues and promoting alternative, clean renewable energy initiatives;

Native Groups/organizations working with Native youth, young adults and students to develop leadership skills. As well as, Native youth projects designed to protect and restore Native communities.

Priority is given to Native grassroots, community-based organizations and groups with a lack of access to federal and/or tribal funding resources.

Grant Range $1,000 to $5,000
