Honor the Earth: Impacted Nations: a traveling art show: Artists: Neal Ambrose-Smith

Just a regular artist. Born and raised off the reservation with a strong Native American culture in the house. Impacted by my environment (my culture, pop culture, government, etc.), I can’t separate myself from it. We all have a responsibility individually and globally. Education is not a government law or regulation. If it was, the Federal Communications Commission would never have been deregulated; the wealthy 1% would never get a tax break; corporations would never receive “no bid” contracts; nobody would be driving an SUV nor receiving tax benefits for owning one weighing over 8,000 pounds; we wouldn’t have to pay for healthcare; and George W. Bush would never have been elected, once.

Education is a binding contract for life. Alter-native energy is as well. In Coyote Sees Two Worlds, the Coyote is the creator’s helper. And because all things are connected, he’s an integral part of our world – a gear. The sun turns so we can turn, and we turn so the moon can turn. But, Coyote sees two worlds. He sees the dark side of oil – the underworld. He also sees the future with alternative and renewable energy sources, like wind power.
