Internships
Internships are available in Minneapolis and White Earth Indian Reservation.
Funds are tight, so no money will be available for internships in Minneapolis.
A minimal amount will be available for one position on White Earth Reservation
(enough to get by, but probably not to save).
Qualifications for both locations: Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to
be self-motivated, interest in active and diverse work plans, good technical
writing and computer skills (Word and Excel), good rapport with people of all
cultures.
Minneapolis, Minnesota: Work with Associate Director and Research and Operations
Manager to undertake administrative work and assist in program work. See above
volunteer work for an idea of the help needed. Specific projects vary.
White Earth Indian Reservation, Minnesota: Work with Executive Director and
Executive Assistant to undertake administrative work including but not limited
to monitoring
email, answering phones, filing and preparing mailings. Other major tasks may
include research and technical writing on environmental, social justice and
Native rights issues and supporting Executive Assistant in maintaining Executive
Director’s
travel itinerary and meeting schedule. If possible, own vehicle.
