Honor the Earth is working to build a just, green economy in Native America.
We carry out this work through our Energy Justice Initiative, an organizing initiative that seeks to develop community infrastructure essential to a sustainable future in Indian Country.
As a companion program to our Energy Justice work, we make grants to groups on the forefront of creating a green economy on tribal lands. Our Building Resilience grant-making initiative is designed to foster and restore local food and energy economies rooted in indigenous wisdom. Such economies are essential to the survival of our communities in a climate-challenged world.
In all of our work, we prioritize our young people, our future generations. Our Youth Leadership Initiative is designed to engage our youth in the work of visioning and creating a hopeful and green future.
