Sabrina Pourier

Finance Technician

Sabrina is a mother, an artist, a singer, and dancer who advocates and engages with many Indigenous youth within her community. Sabrina brings a variety of professional experience ranging from hospitality to non-profit sectors, mentoring and advocating for Indigenous youth as young as kindergarten through high school. She carries experience with mental health/suicide intervention, abstinence transparency, and higher education. She holds pride in being a part of many success stories of local Indigenous youth who were facing challenges and adversities.

Presently, Sabrina takes pride in working in the Finance Department of Honor the Earth, knowing that it’s for something bigger and meaningful for the communities being served. Healing our communities heals us too. As someone who lives an affirmed life of intentional prayer and purpose, she is proud be part of a team who share the same principles. As her great-great-grandfather Black Elk said, “At the center of the universe dwells the Great Spirit. And that center is really everywhere. It is within each of us.”

In her free time, Sabrina loves to go out into the Hills to connect to the land and wander with her son; swimming, soaking up the sun, and stargazing. She especially loves to identify and harvest traditional foods and plants, as well as hunt throughout the year for a variety of game. Teaching her son to be self-sustainable and to co-exist with the land, she focuses on the importance of offering something back to Mother Earth when something is taken. She also dances and sings at pow wows with her drum family and friends.
