For this session of Decolonize U, we will be taking a high and low level view of the so-called United States Military Industrial Complex (MIC). We will define militarism, militarization, demilitarization, and the MIC. We will provide a brief history of how the United States military was founded on Turtle Island and how it exists today and in what context with examples. We will also explore ways to demilitarize via actions and in our minds to continue to build the world where all peoples of the global majority can thrive with honor and abundance.

This session will be facilitated and presented by Honor the Earth's two Indigenous women and United States Army combat veterans: our Executive Director Krystal Two Bulls and Decolonize U Manager Wendy Bravo.
